Setting
The Dark Trade is set in Westharbour, a large, bustling port town on the western coast of the kingdom and on the southern edge of the Gray Marsh. Westharbour (as with all port towns) has a somewhat unsavory reputation.
Important characters
- Jack Tyron, the captain of the two-masted schooner Waveskimmer and a experienced blockade runner. Dubbed 'Honest Jack' by a former passager.
- Duke Harve Marshall, the ruler of the town. He and his wife, Victoria, have three adult children: Thornton (eldest son and heir), Elinor (daughter) and Bram (youngest son and captain of the guard).
