Hannele, what time does your bus arrive in Manchester?
My current thinking is to pick you up in Manchester, then drive to the airport to pick up Bert and Delphine, but this option requires good timing and any delays to be communicated ASAP -- Craig

- Looking to arrive at Darwen at around 1600. -- David

Shopping

I'll probably get the shopping on the way back from picking people up
Usually the shopping bill is split between all of us. Let me know if you're unhappy with this.
Can you let me know of anything that you would like by adding it to the shopping_list please. -- Craig

Planned Activities

I believe that there was mention of trying a 4e game. I'm up for playing, but not DMing. I have to say that I'm not hugely enthused - not sure why, it might play very well. -- Craig

Friday

Level 1 4e D&D - David as DM

Character builder available here: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/insider/characterbuilder (This is only the downloader, and it doesn't have any proxy settings, so it's likely it won't DL from work - aren't WOTC great! Also it uses the latest .Net libraries, so it won't work under WINE, I had to install it on my Windoze VM) -- Craig.

Characters

Since this will be the first 4e game you should have a party with each of the four roles (defender, striker, controller, leader). With the current selection you'll need a wizard and a fighter or paladin -- David

Suggest either standard array or point buy for ability scores (unless you've already rolled your stats).

Player Character Class Race
Craig Barnabas Warlord (leader) Human
Hannele Helena Marchand Rogue (striker) Halfling
Bert Quarion Wizard (Controller) Eladrin
Delphine

Delphine Urban ranger
  • Current suggestion. Willing to change for party balance -- Craig
Looks good to me Hannele

Sunday

Late morning suggestion

  • A nice walk up the hill to the tower (takes less than an hour, but is relatively steep) -- Craig
    I'm in Delphine

Afternoon/Evening suggestions

  • More D&D??
I am all for more DND. Continue one of the previous games? Start David's new game? Delphine
Yes, please. With David's 4e game and my game that is not action based, a "normal" DnD session would be great. Hannele
  • Chill out and watch TV?
No TV please :) Delphine
I'm not ruling this out for later on Sunday evening. -- Craig

* Ten-pin Bowling?

This would be my second choice. Delphine
I would love to, but if we went to a bowling alley I could only watch (not too bad, depending on the beer). If I did try to play I would not be able to use my hand for days to come. I could play it using the Wii, since that does not involve any heavy lifting. Hannele
  • Are we mad enough to attempt another game of OOTS?
NO! I mean: let's not, please, pretty please, with sugar on top. Hannele
