Crazy Category Conundrum
Notafish, perhaps you can explain the need for all these new categories? Particularly the "Main" category which seems somewhat useless. -- David 18:56, 10 May 2006 (BST)

Table of Contents
Is there a way of suppressing the TOC for individual pages? The TOC seems a bit superfluous for some of the short pages we're creating. In fact, now I've previewed this page, it seems to have added a TOC in a really inappropriate place! I can't see what I'm doing differently to anyone else. Why has it created a TOC after I posted?. -- Craig 12:59, 11 May 2006 (BST)
- OK, I found a preferences setting that was causing it (show TOC for pages with more than 3 headings). I don't necessarily want to suppress all TOCs though. Is there a way to do it on a page by page basis for the pages that I create? --Craig 13:07, 11 May 2006 (BST)
- I think there's a magic incantation to surpress the TOC on a per-page basis. Have a browse of the Mediawiki help pages. -- David 13:35, 11 May 2006 (BST)
- I was bored. Table of contents moved. Use __TOC__ to place a table of contents or __NOTOC__ to supress it. Please don't go overboard removing them though; I find them useful. -- David 17:08, 11 May 2006 (BST)
