Characters can either be rolled or you can use the 25 point-buy system. Player’s choice, as long as you stick to it.

Classes

All (prestige) classes from PHB 1 and 2, DMG or Complete Adventurer. Races: PHB 1 or MM 1, as long as they’re human(oid), monstruous humanoid is acceptable. The dungeon crawl goes through tunnels with a diameter of 20 feet, so you have some room to manoeuvre, even if you’re bigger than normal.

Level

ECL 18. For those who want to use races with racial hit dice and/or level adjustment: see Monsters as Races

Alignment

Non evil

Capital

440,000 gp (see DMG, tabel 5-1, page 135). No more than ¼, 110,000 gp, give or take a few thousand, to be spent on one single item. Only one item with a worth of more than 50,000 gp. This will allow you one +10 armour or +7 weapon and a lot of very nice goodies besides that.

Background

You all live in the same city, where you have your family and friends. It’s the place you call home. Since you’re all big fish in a smallish pond, you all know (of) each other. Some of you may even have adventured together, though never more than 2 of you at the same time.

The first episode starts as you all return home after having been away for over a month.

Pre-game requirements

I need your characters and background before Thursday next week, when we will all meet in chat to discuss the final points. That will also be where you will see my online DM, who will assist me if necessary while lurking during play. If you don’t mind I’d like him to take a look at your characters as well, to check for inconsistencies.

Because your characters all know each other, some part of your background needs to be distributed. I’ll take care of that.

For the first session I want you all to prepare a little boast about your latest adventure, highlighting why you’re such a great hero and showing off your strong points.
