Dave have you made any decision as to what we'll be playing?
|

I know you said it's up to us, but you're going to need at least some time to prepare.
|

The simplest way would be to re-use characters from a previous game, either meet or the old ORPG game. I like my Rogue 1/Cleric 8 (Calabran Tordesa), and would be happy to play him again. But if not that game, then I also have a 3rd level dwarf fighter (Barf Grindaxe) from one of Darren's games at Dave's house, or my whip specialising rogue from Henry's game at the last meet. I've also got some others I think. |

I guess the question then is if everyone else still has characters from those games. I'm fairly sure that Del played in both the game with Calabran (we raided a castle, then killed a dragon), and in the game with Barf (we went up a volcano and killed some evil wizard woman). I'm sure I said I'd be running a short Warhammer FRPG game using characters randomly generated on the day. FYI, it'll be the adventure that's in the back of the rule book but adjusted slightly. -- [[User:David|David]] 13:37, 30 Oct 2006 (GMT) |

I though I'd have a look at some of the game threads on the GiantITP forums. Talk about confusing! Schticks and Screw This cards? Anyway, what really caught my eye was a reference to a main playtester called Craig who has a nickname of Krago. Co-incidence...? |

:LOL, yes. Krago?? I'd use the name HobbitFeet, or maybe Craggy. I've only opened mine to put the free extra card I got from Great Ape games in the box. I've not even looked at the rules :O [[User:Craig|Craig]] 13:29, 30 Oct 2006 (GMT) |

Old stuff, possibly useful for the future:
Pathfinder Arena Game
A level 9 game (25 point-buy characters) in an arena with a Random event generator.
- My understanding from the last game was that this was more fun as a player vs. NPC fight rather than as a series of challenges.
- I also seem to recall that the arena effects didn't kick in as frequently as expected. Should the threshold be lowered for events? Craig
Characters will all have average HP (Con and any other bonuses on top of the below) -
d6: 6 + 28 = 34;
d8: 8 + 36 = 44;
d10: 10 + 44 = 54;
d12: 12 + 52 = 64
Characters:
Player | Character | Race | Classes | Notes |

The arena will be 26 x 28 squares
It will have 3D features such as scalable buildings, elevated platforms and gantries and walls all of varying heights. There will be both regular and difficult terrain in the form of areas with stone, sand, grass, water etc. as well as trees and more dense shrubbery.
Some rules

- Characters can be swapped by tagging at an arena wall
- Characters will not be able to buff for 30 minutes before the start (effects lasting longer than this can be pre-applied)
- Characters will enter the arena by being teleported to the start area in the arena.
- Each character will have 2 rounds to buff before the teleport.
- Direct, deliberately damaging attacks on other contestants will result in disqualification, though damage caused incidentally by frustrating your opponents (such as by a spell effect pushing them off a ledge) is allowed.
- Flying is acceptable (not quite sure how we do that with minis) but there is a ceiling height of 50 feet and the fly mechanics (e.g. skill rolls) will be used as appropriate. Characters who go higher than 50 feet, for any reason, will be deemed to have exited the contest and be disqualified.
- Other creatures:
- Companions, summons etc. enter at the same time and in the same location.
