On June 23, the characters climbed the stairs to the second floor, and took down two human guards. They also triumphed in a lengthy battle with a mask golem, though it controlled Zedd's mind and was doing a fair job at suffocating Keryn and Dorcas.

June 30: saw the PCs making a daring escape out of the window, battered, bleeding and triumphant. The city authorities moved swiftly when they received the evidence gathered, and the cult fell.

July 7: Reginar asks the PCs to chase Iramine, the cult's leader in Tamran, to the Isle of Terror in the centre of Lake Encarthan. They travel on Walren's barge, the Black Mist, but a ghost attacks and nearly foils the mission at its outset. The undead is driven off, but not destroyed - perhaps it is still lurking. The adventurers find evidence that the cultists came this way, perhaps - a small boat has been dragged up on the shore.

Defeated Iramine, 20 October. Found:

- Wand of false life (CL 3rd; 8 charges)
- +2 mithral chain shirt,
- +1 elven curve blade
