__NOTOC__

Revision as of 14:06, 30 March 2021

Leaving the Great Tree early, the party greet the Guard at the bottom of the stairs. After a short discussion the Guard realises that he is talking to the ones who found the body of Jon - his brother. With a tear in his eye, he thanks the adventurers and offers them a dagger that had been intended for Jon.

With the Guards sadness still lingering they headed off towards Preens Paddock however when it became clear they would not reach it before sunset, they camped beside an old fallen tree.

As Grel and Calla slept, everyone else kept watch with the aid of Fletchers magical Red Bull. While there was no trouble, many more of the Chicken Dinosaurs could be heard fleeing through the forest.

Another early start saw them arrive in Preens Paddock by mid afternoon, where they are greeted by villagers and Calla is swarmed by children excited to see her return.

The Village Elder, eager for news of the outside world listens to their tale, reads the letter from Gracebloom, and hands over the Ceremonial Artefact.

It turns out there is a Merchant Caravan nearby, and they have been afraid to leave the relative security of the village. Perhaps the group can escort them?

As The Elder leads them to the Caravan, they are accosted by a small child screaming that something has taken a lamb, and spring into action!

Fletcher rounds a corner to find another pack of Dino-Chicks attempting to drag a small lamb away and tries to web them all in place. Grel takes a shortcut past some felled logs, while Jadrol starts firebombing them in the flammable webbing Cordon charges and skewers one after another.

With only one enemy remaining, and lacking a clear angle, Grel takes to the skies. He rolls onto his right side and lets fly with the most perfect shot imaginable - it pierces the eyeball of the beast and exits the back of its head. As it does so it is snagged on a filament of web, and swings round in perfect circle and pierces the other eye of the already very dead creature.

Landing, Grel looks around at the others in shock, however it seems no-one else saw The Shot of the Gods™

With calm restored, one of the caravan members talks the group into a Card reading whereupon mystical knowledge is dispensed...... ooo-OOO-oooh (It was great and I really can't do it justice here)

The group offer to escort the caravan to Oakenspire

The Harrow Reading

The party wanted an answer to the question...??

It was decided that this question most closely matched the Constitution attribute and the constitution cards were drawn by the participants to gain insight into their role within the Harrow reading.

The cards drawn were:
The Mountain Man - Jadrol. Signifying encounters with authority beyond your control.
The Waxworks - Fletcher(?). One for whom physical deeds are an obstacle.
The Tangled Briar - Grel. The representative of past deeds that will have vast influence
The Trumpet - Cordon (?). One who wades into the fight without hesitation.
