Iorek is almost never seen outside his armour, a formidable construction of adamantine. Together with his shield, as tall and broad as he is, it stops almost any blow. The fact that it makes Iorek harder to see and speak to is not a huge problem, since he is dour and grumpy - even for a dwarf. Perhaps there are reasons for this...
