Background
A group of powerful wizards, have broken away from the Southtown's College of Magic. They've harnessed some rare artifact and have trapped the school's towers in an enormous translucent gray bubble of anti-magic.
The rogue wizards have hidden themselves away and the party will have to follow clues to their outposts and finally to their remote tower.
Sources of information
All the senior wizards of the college are trapped within the bubble. The only ones outside are low-level students with little knowledge and ability but know of a remote facility where dangerous research is carried out. Evrard the renegade also has this information and knows that research into anti-magic and dispell spells is being carried out here.
The research outpost
This is held by the rebel wizards. Random pockets of anti-magic affect spell-casting. Encounters with wizards, constructs, summoned creatures and extra-planar guardians.
Information leads to the final tower plus lots of information on the anti-magic research.
