After a good nights, rest the party head back to the river again where they find a load of vines growing from the far side as if they are trying to reach across the water. There seems to be some intelligent design in this partially complete process. Calla guesses that such a rigid bridge would allow many more creatures to cross, bringing further disturbance to the ecosystem than has already been wreaked by the Compies.

Cordon coaxes Riva into running across the rope bridge, while Grel carries the rest over one by one in the bag of holding. As he waited on the bank, Jadrol sees and ignores two fleeing vegepygmies.

Using some spooky nature stuff, Cordon and Calla attempt to interrogate the vines, but they could only speak about the lovely magic making them grow strong. Cordon encouraged them to grew towards the sun, which they said they already were (as they were growing Southwards).

The party proceed on the less trodden West path, back to chasm where they turned North, following their way back from the temple and rest for the night.
