Forest of Andor/Back to Oakenspire again

Keen to get back on the road again, the party have to wait patiently while the wagons are hitched and animals loaded.

An hour or so later the caravan heads away from Preens Paddock and lumbers towards Oakenspire.

The day is passing peacefully when faint animal calls are heard on the wind. Wary of being taken unawares, the adventurers head off to investigate and find a large clearing featuring a large nest and several squawking birds.

Despite trying to not spook the creatures, the birds attack, first swiping at Grel in the air, and then charging at the others.

From the looks of it, the nest had been raided presumably by Compies and all the eggs broken. It also appears that one of them tried to defend the nest, and has paid the price as it lies dead on the broken shells.

Grel climbs higher trying to stay out of their reach, while the others split up and defended themselves.

Fletcher and Callas are gravely injured but manage to down their assailants while Jadrol and Cordon take out some more.

With all the birds dead or dying, the party feel guilty on realising the situation, and Grel heals the two living, but unconscious animals.

Checking over the nest, Jadrol and Grel find a couple of interesting items for later study and head back to the caravan.

The remaining journey goes well and everyone makes it back to Oakenspire.
