Mardram speaks Common and Halfling.
From an early age, Mardram spent every hour he could with his uncle Dran - Assistant to Garramond, a local Magician.
An inquisitive child and fast learner he was soon helping his uncle set up various magical apparatus on a regular basis.
This continued until an incident with a dropped explosive potion severly burned Mardrams left leg, and almost killed him.
The young halflings luck allowed that several local priests were close by at that time and saved Mardrams life, however his leg never truly healed.
During a lengthy convalescense Mardram learned much from the priests and this coupled with his early exposure to magic has led him on the path he leads today.
He now travels far and wide learning how to protect and heal others.
