===History===
Mortlac is a Wayang, descended from creatures of the shadow plane. Mortlac's ancestral family chose to leave the plane of shadow to follow those shadow spirits that desired to bring good to the world.

Mortlac felt the call of his ancestral shadow spirits to venture out, to fight the evils that plague the land and to teach others how to do so. On his first travels he was drawn to a wolf that he sensed had been injured by an evil creature of shadow. Mortlac healed the wolf and the two became inseparable, with the wolf, [[Mortlac/Viemer|Viemer]], becoming Mortlac's mount companion.

===Demeanour===
Mortlac is shy in social situations, though not lacking in graces. On the battlefield, this introversion vanishes as Mortlac and Viemer rush to the attack.
